We bought this desk for my 5 year old to use for coloring and his Vsmile keyboard. It is very cute and seems solid, however it is quite small. His keyboard and mouse takes up pretty much all of the surface space and the storage bins are barely big enough to hold a coloring book(they can't lay flat in the bin). If you are wanting a desk your child will be able to use for awhile skip this one if you just want something short term, have limited space, and a smaller child to pass it on too then this desk would work for you.

I bought this for my 5 year old - i just finished assembling it and it is very sturdy. 3 storage compartments - this is great and I cant wait for my son to see it in a couple of days:)
I would recommend this - however, it says up to 10 years.. I would say that it would have to be a very small 10 year old if this was to fit the child... i would say up to 5 or 6 and that is pushing it.

I bought this for my 3 year old. Assembly was no problem, and I like the bright colors. My child likes to lean back in the chair, and he broke a chair leg. I think it was just a defect in that particular leg. I drilled a new hole on the other side of the leg, and that broke too. I fixed it with a wooden coat-rack rod (hardware store) to use as a leg (about the same diameter).

I ordered two of these desks for my 3 and 4 year old. One was fine but the other was missing some pieces that are normally pre-installed in the desk top piece of wood, so I am unable to screw down the left side of the desk. I have e-mailed Beck International and hope they will send me some replacements. Some of the threaded pieces and hardware are not easily installed, and require some thought and clearing out wood debris to make installation possible. But for how inexpensive the desks are, it's hard to complain about a little extra work. They are nice once assembled.

Very disappointing! Even after my husband added wood glue & screws it would not go together properly so was unstable. Not good for a 3 year old to have an unstable chair. Guess you do get what you pay for, I was very happy Amazon let me return it without an issue.

Here I am on Christmas Eve spending 3 hours to assemble what should be a simple table and chair. However the instructions are not very clear. I am an adult and picture instructions are for children. There should be written step by step instructions. Secondly, while removing one of the pieces from the foam wrapping a significant piece of wood broke off from one of the holes a screw was supposed to go into. This occurred before assembly even began. Also third, during assembly while putting a screw into the wood it split in half before it could be tightened, which leads to the last issue. The table is so wobbly I doubt my 6 year old will be able to do anything on it. On a positive note, the chair was very easy to assembly and is the only thing I feel comfortable letting my son use. This product should be made of better quality wood and have better instructions for the assembly.

My order had missing pieces. The 2 pieces that make u the back of the chair were not in the box.

I had a difficult time putting the table together. The holes in the 2 red bars were not drilled with enough depth. I could not get the screw to go into the casing until I manually scraped the hole to make it bigger. Figuring out the problem and the solution took 2 hours, very frustrating because the piece should have been assembled in 20 minutes.

I got this during holiday season for great deal. It was very useful for my 4year son (Reading / Writting/ Drawing/ Dining also).
Not too big or small..good enough for our little kids.

Only one personal experience like to share....i got other 1yerar baby at home and she is able to reach everything on this table and storage provided, which disturb my 4year son. Need to keep her away.

Could be better if chair and table get somemore hight.

This unit seems OK for the "low" price I paid. However, it does seem to scratch easily and the wood seems cheap. If you expect just low to average quality, then you'll probably be OK with it. Also, it is indeed small. It seems a good size for my 3 year old but may be outgrown relatively quickly.

This is great. I set it up next to my desk and now my son sits there and does his homework while I do mine college work. Awsome!
