Wow, I knew after reading some of the reviews that this may not be the best of child chair choices, but I figured that I would try it out any way. I believe that this is the worst quality product that I have ever received from Amazon. The pieces don't fit properly together and the instructions are a joke. With a little common sense you can put the chair together without the instructions. The wood is knotted and dented, some of the pieces are slightly warped and the back of the chair is twisted. Face it, you get what you pay for. There is no need to wonder why this chair is half the price of all of the others.
On the bright side, it's still a cute little chair that will work well for photography. I don't think that it would last long outside or with a hyper child that may roughly play with it. But, I believe that it will work well for my purpose.
In conclusion, if you want a good seat, keep looking. If you need a chair for a photo opp or maybe for just one summer, then this could be the chair for you. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

I was very disappointed when I received this rocking chair. I do not mind assembling a product, but you had to put together EVERTHING on this rocker. It was poorly made and had dents. I would not recommend this product.

My husband who is an expert at putting things together could not put this chair together straight. The slates on the sides and on the seat did not match the holes.

I would have rated it 0 stars in each category if I could have.

I bought this rocking chair for my autistic granddaughter. When I tried to assemble it, the pieces did not fit properly. I asked 2 other people to try and they noticed that the separate pieces did not even match in style. In order to give my granddaughter a rocking chair for Christmas, I had to go buy another one locally making the total cost of the chair about $80. In other words, it was a piece of junk, only good for firewood.
Because I bought it early and put it aside until Christmas, I can't return it because the cutoff date for returns was Dec 6.
I will NEVER buy another item from amazon.com unless it is a book or video.

I never write reviews, but this chair is so bad I felt strongly inclined.
The wood is so soft that the slightest bump leads to a dent. Assembly was not an overwhelming process, however, the bad quality shows during assembly, (note- a rubber mallet is strongly recommended to make the pieces fit correctly, however, you will be damaging the chair in the process of assembly because of how cheap of quality that it is).

Even after spending enough time trying to ensure proper fitting of the parts, the chair is still skewed once assembled. Also know that it is very easy to strip out the wood when putting the screws in, and without using much torque - again as a testament to how horrible the wood is. I would imagine that use of power tools would result in instant saw dust.

Keep searching, this chair is not what you are looking for.
After shipping costs, you would be much better off visiting a local store and spending the few extra dollars for a better quality chair.

This chair was a steal of a deal.... no wonder! It could not be assembled. Pieces did not match up, instructions were a joke, and there was an already patched damaged area on one of the pieces. Please do not waste your time or Amazon's time in ordering this item. We will be shipping it back at shippers cost and receiving our money back!

It's amazing. Every review of this item is negative, to extremely negative. Yet, when I follow the manufacture link, they are boasting a 96% approval rate. Something appears disconnected here. I purchased one of these rocking chairs, and I agree with the negative reviewers. Hardened glue in the dowel holes, preventing the dowels from being fully seated. Dowels of unequal length, causing the rocker to be sprung, when assembled. Arm rests are pressed into the legs, not glued or screwed to the legs. These will separate during use. This chair had to be re-engineered, by adjusting the length of the dowels, and installing screws in the arm rests. When assembled, the rockers are set at unequal angles. Screws supplied to connect seat to front and rear dowels, are too short, and had to be replaced. This is not a case of getting what you paid for. Rather, it is a case of extremely poor engineering skill, and a manufacture who has demonstrated intent to produce a low quality product.
