About the Author

Hans-Peter Becker was born in 1961 and studied at the Percussion Institute of Technology (PIT) in Los Angeles. He is one of the best known drummers in Germany and an innovative teacher. He founded the "Modern Music School" which has almost 30 branches scattered throughout the country. Implementing his successful concept of teaching, he also started the Los Angeles Music Academy, employing such teachers as Joe Porcaro, Ralph Humphrey, and Emil Richards. Branches of his "Modern Music School" are planned for all over America.
