Amazon.com Review

Circulate water in your pond while being kind to fish and plants. With the Beckett Versa Gold fountain pump, you can pump 300 gallons of water per hour for fountain art, spa drainage, and ponds. Easily attach tubing for a water feature or different fountain nozzles for more creative looks. The pump sits flat underwater and is heavy enough that it doesn't need suction cups or other attachments to hold it in place. A removable inlet screen makes this pump easy to maintain and clean regularly, and the 20-foot cord gives you room to work with. A two-year warranty is included, and the pump is fully assembled in the box. Now all you need is the fountain, a little water, and a few spare moments to enjoy the soothing sound of trickling water.

Product Description

Perfect for a water garden or fountain feature. Provides healthy circulation for up to 700 gallon ponds. Pumps 325 gph at one foot height. Maximum lift is 12.2 feet. UL and CSA approved, this pump operates at 115 volts with an extra long 20 foot cord and connects with half inch ID tubing. And it's oil free and environment friendly. This is a low maintenance, continuous duty operation pump.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beckett Corp 210 gph pond pump, June 13, 2000

I am using this pump in a small pond with a small waterfall - it is a strong, hard-working pump and works just fine in this application. I wouldn't recommend it for a big pond, but for the smaller one it works great. My "pond" is only 2 ft X 4 ft and I don't have the pump turned all the way up to full force.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beckett G210 (210 gph) pond pump, June 4, 2006
By
I have used this pump in my 4' diameter pond with fountain statue in the center. The inlet on my lotus flower statue is 3/8". The outlet on the pump is 1/2" so I have a reducer. I also have a flow restricter on the line so I can adjuct the flow which is acceptable. It will give a nice dispersed spray a foot+ in the air on my statue. It has worked fine since 1998 and just died after 8 years of near continuous running. I got it at Home Depot & they still sell it for about 50. I'm going to buy another identical one. I have it in the Beckett filter box model MFB235 with foam filter. My pond has fish and is under a tree so the filter box has kept the crud out of the pump. I'm not always good on regular filter cleaning and at times the flow has almost been starved to the pump. But with out the filter I would be cleaning the pump inlet screen all the time in my application.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pumps Continue to Fail, February 26, 2010
By
This review is from: Beckett 7060210 325 gph Submersible Pump (Lawn & Patio)
Since about 1998 I've had a 325 GPH Beckett pump and about every 2-3 years like clockwork the pump fails and trips the GFI receptacle. I use the pump in a small 1/2 wine barrel pond with an old style well pump. The head height is less than 24" and the pump only runs 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening. I'm pretty careful to keep the screen clean so as not to overheat the pump. My fourth pump failed yesterday. It has only been in operation since June of 2008. The good news is, it was a warranty replacement for the previous pump that failed in the exact same way. Teh bad news is they will not replace a warranty replacement. The pumps are "potted" so they are not servicable and must be replaced when they fail (throw aways). I would advise against purchasing Beckett pumps as the seem to keep failing the same way and at about the same time frame.
