Like others have said, the feel, look, and (smell?) of the new pocket pages is highly disappointing compared to the last version of this product (which I loved!). However, my biggest frustration is more functional. The 4x6 pockets are too large for 4x6 photos or PL date or journal cards. The photos or cards shift around in the pockets as a result, and it decreases not only the look of the page, but also the functionality when turning the page (as photos and cards more easily dislodge from the pockets). Totally bummed about the changes.

Just received my Design A pages after waiting for them to be back in stock and I am super disappointed in the new pages. They are not the same material (feel a bit sticky and crinkly, not smooth) and they smell terrible (smoky or burnt smell) and they are very yellow compared to the previous clear pages. Considering I have had to wait this long for the protectors (AND the Seafoam kit) and now I have to return, I will have to return the kit as well if there are no protectors for it. :(

I had purchased this style of page protectors before and the quality was great. This time the protectors have a yellowish tint and as soon as I opened the shrink wrap package the strong smell was obvious. I kept them thinking it was a storage issue, but a month later still smell just as strong. I have contacted Amazon about returning them. Really disappointed in the quality of this product.

I just received my pack of pages today and am disappointed to find out there is a problem with one of the pockets. The last 3x4 slot nearest the edge is too small. I didn't check all 60, but checked about half of them. I tried both older Amber edition cards and the newest Mayfield cards. I can squeeze them about 1/3 of the way in but am afraid to cram it any further in case the seam splits. I will need to trim the cards (defeating the point of quick and easy) or return this. Very disappointed since these were out of stock so long.

I have to agree with the other recent reviewers of this product. This is not the first time I have purchased this product and there have obviously been changes in the manufacturing. The pages are definitely more yellow. They have a crinkely, slippery, thinner feel. And they stink to high heaven of chemicals which has yet to dissipate after being out of the package for a week. As far as the sizing of the pockets, the only problem I'm having is with the 3 x 4 inside pockets being just a bit of a tight fit. Overall, I am really dissappointed in the quality of these page protectors. Please change them back to the way they were before!

Just opened this package tonight. Terribly disappointed. They're yellowed and feel very different from last year. They have a rough texture. I'm returning these. Will buy again after return is processed. Hope that I happened to get a bad package from a bad batch, and that they're not all like this.

Edited to add: I heard from Becky Higgins, and this is an anomaly. I am returning this and will repurchase. I will update this review when I get the new product. I fully expect them to be perfect.

Edited 3/15/13: Returned these and got a new package. The yellow is mostly gone, but the stench is as awful as the first time around. Am returning these again. I will wait until May and reorder then when American Crafts has taken over manufacturing.

I loved the product but so many page protectors ripped before my album was even done. A few of them were ripping as soon as I took them out of the box. I had to tape them up. Feel sad. I love Becky and her discovery of PL, but whoever made the page protectors didn't do the best job :((

As a long-time scrapbooker and the editor of Days We Celebrate: Scrapbook Titles, I never thought the way I scrapbook would change so much in just a short time. But, with Project Life, Becky Higgins has brought something totally new and radical to this hobby. It's like she single-handedly re-built our approach to scrapbooking!

Although I don't use this system exclusively, it's a huge and indispensable part of my personal style. I combine Project Life with the Stacy Julian's Library of Memories. Both approaches are extremely flexible. I mix and match Project Life pages with traditional scrapbook layouts. So this big pack of pocket pages (Design A, which is the one I use most often) is very handy to have in my stash. The pockets are flexible; I can use them for photos, journaling or titles. It's of high quality, and protects little things like ticket stubs, notes, and other souvenirs.

If you're just starting out on Project Life, or maybe want some pocket pages to supplement your traditional pages, this is the pack I'd recommend.
