It is really quite easy to get on and off also.

Plus, the material seems to breath a little, he has never felt overly warm or sweaty after being in it for a long period of time.

This carrier is also unique since the baby can face the front.

As a newborn, our son HATED being put down in his crib, carseat, bassinet, changing table, etc. As a consequence, I tried a few different baby carriers just trying to find one that would allow me to go to the grocery store, or do something other than sit on the couch. Of the four different carriers I tried, this was by far one of my favorites.

Pros:
- works well for a short person (I am 5'3", and was about 150 lbs when I first bought this). Some carriers (like the Ergo) were a little too big and bulky for me. This fit my body a lot better even with the contoured waistband, which allows me to sit with it on and walk without feeling pregnant again.
- Comfortable - provides good back support. I can still carry our son (now 17 lbs) while we walk around for an hour or two without my back hurting. Plus, the material seems to breath a little, he has never felt overly warm or sweaty after being in it for a long period of time.
- Easy to get on. I only had to practice once to feel comfortable getting my son in it out in public.
- Can be used in the front with baby facing in or out, as a side carrier or as a backpack.
- Our son loves it. There were times as a newborn when putting him in the carrier was the only way he would fall asleep. The Head support was great for him when he was napping.

Cons:
- The security feature on the buckles can make it difficult to get off. Good for security, bad when you are in a rush.
- No pockets - The thing I loved with the Ergo and Maya Wrap was a pocket to hold my keys and credit card. There are no storage compartments on the beco.

I love how comfortable this carrier this. It feels like I'm not even carrying any weight. I also love how many positions it works with (front rf or ff and back). But I do have 2 complaints about it. 1) the waist belt has an "extra safely feature" on the buckle which requires two hands to unbuckle which I find SO annoying since I never have both hands free (should I put my baby down on the sidewalk while I try to get out of the carrier?) and 2) the headrest straps hit my daughter right in the middle of her face when she sleeps.
I think most people will love this carrier enough to overlook those annoyances but I do wish Beco would fix those things and come out with a new and improved model of this almost perfect carrier.

We love the versatility of this product. I did a lot of research to find a baby carrier that my 6'6 and 300lb husband could use. My hubby can comfortably carry our baby in this carrier. It's easy to use and the baby loves it. He's now 16 months old, and I still carry him in it sometimes. He's 30lbs now, so I don't carry him for long b/c he's so heavy. We used it a lot when he was younger - at the store, pumpkin patch, Black Friday shopping, while I was doing housework, etc...

I've had this for two days and I am already in love with this carrier. I owned an Ergo Organic Petunia Pickle Bottom Carrier prior to this one and absolutely hated it. The Ergo has such amazing reviews and so I thought for sure I'd be pleased. I'm 5'3 120 lbs and like many other users have previously stated-- the Ergo ended up being too big and bulky and my baby looked and felt smothered, not to mention the straps were awkward….we both hated it. After digging a little deeper and reading more reviews on the Ergo and it's issues for the more petite mom, I came across many reviewers mentioning how great the Beco carrier is. I sold my Ergo and ordered a Beco keeping my fingers crossed that I didn't just waste another hundred bucks. When my black Organic Orion Beco arrived I loved the look, but the ultimate test was the functionality. Well…let me tell you, it passed with flying colors- my daughter loves it too! She is happy in the front facing out and front facing in position, the hip position will take some getting used to. The instructions are simple, the fabric is much softer than the designer 'organic' ergo i owned and overall the fit is wonderful. I am very pleased with my purchase! The Beco in my opinion is by far a better carrier than the Ergo, not to mention you get 4 positions with the Gemini vs only 3 with the Ergo. A+++ Beco!

I bought this for my sister after having my own for over two years. It is one of my favorite carriers (I have several different styles/brands). This carrier is very flexible for the size baby/toddler it can carry. I originally bought it for my second baby who was very heavy (over 10 lbs at birth), and I found the other models I had at the time were not comfortable for him or me. This carrier distributes weight well for mom, and keeps butterball comfy at the same time. I am now using this carrier for baby #3, and it looks as good as the day I bought it. I have on occasion carried my bigger kids in this carrier (25-35 pounds) and find it very practical. I have done front carries and back carries, and it also works for nursing.

I used the Moby Wrap with my daughter since a few days after birth. Unfortunately, my little houdini was getting old enough at 8 months to push and pull at the wrap making it loose and frustrating for both of us. I knew I needed to find something a little more secure and comfortable.

I received the Gemini carrier about a month ago and LOVE it. I am 5' 2" and my daughter is 15 pounds at 9 months. My daughter also enjoys snuggling in or being able to wiggle her arms & legs when she is facing out. The snaps make it a cinch to switch between facing out or in. We've tried the back hold, but she was a little too fascinated with pulling my hair at this point. The hip hold was VERY uncomfortable for me. I have some issues with my hips / lower back, so this wasn't a huge surprise for me.

I also wore my niece (about 30 pounds and 21 months). We lasted about 10 minutes in the front before my shoulders / back / neck began to ache. We switched to the back, which was significantly easier. We lasted about 30 minutes in that position. She enjoyed being carried and seemed very comfortable. She was pretty disappointed when I took her out.

Overall, this carrier is a lot more comfortable than the Moby at this stage. The wide and padded shoulder straps are wonderful. The belt / waist strap is wide and with less give than the other straps - it feels VERY secure. I love how easy it is to adjust the straps. (Occasionally, my husband (6'2" and 155 lbs) will wear our daughter. It only takes a few more seconds to switch between us than it normally does (literally - seconds).

The pattern is really cute and not overly feminine (a plus for me). It is fairly easy to clean the surfaces and it washes very well.

The only frustrating part is the extra security in the buckles. Which is kind of a necessary evil - a pain to get off, but it gives me peace of mind. So, I think it is a fair trade-off.
