Jason Hartman has done a great job outlining what it means to create a brand. He discusses techniques and tools used by both the business elite and celbrities to help build their "brands," and more importantly, he gives tips on how to apply these techniques in everyday life.

Becoming the Brand of Choice is an important book for any large business, small business or entrepreneur. Jason Hartman's point about creating "clients for life," is ignored by too many in business. The hot new prospect or client is the hardest to sell. If you concentrate on the clients you already have through methods Jason emphasizes in the book (i.e. Customer Care, Collaboration, Consistancy, and Chain of Relationships) you not only get continuing business but attract new clients and customers. This is an important book and long needed on the market.

This book has been so instrumental in helping me grow my small business. I have actually used some of the techniques suggested in the book and they have produced results! This is a "must read" for every business owner. I highly recommend this book to anyone that is looking for new and creative ideas that will increase their company's profits!

Jason's humanly sensitive and ethical approach is commendable. You can tell early on that he's a sincere and likeable guy with loads of integrity, and it's easy to understand why his relationship marketing approach is so successful. It didn't take long for me to completely trust the author -- not something I can always say about marketing books. The book is written in a very accessible conversational style which lends great clarity and makes it an enjoyable read and readily applicable. The goal-setting tips are valuable for application to every area of life. I detect a lot of Napoleon Hill's concepts coming through ("Think and Grow Rich"), but have to say that the way Jason lays them out and applies them is even more readily grasped by me than the original Hill book (which is another excellent read, by the way).

Written in a straight-forward and articulate fashion, Jason Hartman illustrates for us that the essence of success both in business and indeed in life, lies within each of us. Jason demonstrates his dynamic talent for communicating by utilizing many personal improvement tenants and then transforming these ideas into practical marketing and sales applications. Always striving to expand one's comfort zone and developing a code of ethics by which to live are only a few of his many insights on what is needed to become a success. He then takes these maxims and develops them into concrete marketing principles referencing both a variety of well known businesses as well as his own highly successful real estate company.
So much more than many of those gimmicky how-to-get-rich books that are woefully short on substance, The Brand of Choice is a must read for those serious about taking their careers and their lives to the next level!

I am the president and owner of a small computer chip design firm in Southern California. Due to the recent technology recession, business no longer came knocking and we had to start marketing. I came across Mr. Hartman's book quite by chance and was able to immediately apply Personal Branding techniques as we began our marketing program. I really APPRECIATE Jason sharing his insightfulness and his overall positive tone, which applies to beyond just business. The information is very timely for us and I use the book as a hand book for my marketing activities.

As a ten year Director of Sales Training for a major pharmaceutical company, I've probably seen every imaginable book, video and seminar on selling.
First, this book is unique in that it recognizes a source of value, power and influence that is almost always ignored in most sales and marketing text, the individual.
In a very straightforward way, Mr. Hartman shows us exactly how to increase our value by thinking of ourselves as "brands". Brands that can be created and grown to increase their worth.
Mr. Hartman very readily shares his "secrets" and step-by-step plans to help us develop our own "personal brands".
I especially like this book because it was written by an author who has become highly successful by implementing his own advice.It is very obvious that Mr. Hartman is sharing information that he himself has tried and has found to work.
This book is full of great practical "personal branding" ideas and tips.
I would recommend a definite "add" to any sales and marketing collection!
