This review is from: Becoming American Women: Clothing and the Jewish Immigrant Experience, 1880-1920 (Paperback)
Although an unlikely subject--how newly arrived Jewish immigrants assimilated--this book is wonderful! You don't have to be Jewish to love it, that's for sure. If you'te interested in real history, the history of costume, or women's studies, this book is a must!
