About the Author
The author received a BA in psychology from Marist College and a Ph. D. in psychology/neuroscience from Dartmouth in 1986. The author was appointed Asst. Professor of Neuroscience at Yale University and served as Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Vermont from 1987 - 1995. His research dealt with understanding the fundamental changes that occur in the brain that form the basis of learning and memory. He is the author of over 50 scientific papers appearing in such journals as Brain Research, Journal of Neurophysiology, Journal of Neuroscience, NeuroReport, Behavioral Neuroscience, Neuroscience Letters, Physiology & Behavior, Science and co-authored/edited several scholarly books dealing with the topic of learning & memory.
