Feminist-flavored short stories,

This review is from: On Becoming a Fairy Godmother (Paperback)
The stories in this collection have a strong feminist flavor; most are told from the point of view of middle-aged women. Most have elements of fantasy or magical realism. Some are set in present-day England, and others are inspired by myths, Biblical stories, or folktales. The writing is lyrical, almost poetic, and the stories are good as well. I enjoyed all of them except for one, Sybil, which wasn't quite narrative enough for my taste.
