5.0 out of 5 stars Great read for single parent kids and their parents, February 15, 2009
This review is from: Becoming the King/Where's my father? (Kindle Edition)
This is a must read for every single parent and their child. The author has nailed it when it comes to a child finding his/her way and taking action to better his/her circumstances. This book teaches valuable lessons through the main character, Charlie Marks, a very likable kid that any parent would appreciate and every kid could associate with. Charlie finds his voice through a book and learns to speak up, to be heard. Any child who reads this book will be better equipped to handle life

5.0 out of 5 stars Every Young Man Should Read This Book, November 14, 2008

This review is from: Becoming the King/Where's my father? (Kindle Edition)
Becoming the King/Where's my father? should be considered a non-fiction self-help book for every fatherless child, however it is written as a fiction story that every child will love. I believe any child who reads it will instantly understand that they can improve just about anything in their life, such as, Charlie Marks, the main character has done. Becoming the King/Where's my father gives good advice to kids who might be lacking some direction, but does it in a way that is not a painful lecture coming from a parent. I know of a few fatherless adult males who could stand to read this book. I read a tremendous amount of books of an adult level, but I found myself thoroughly engrossed in this book for kids. I couldn't put the book down until I finished it. I felt very involved with the book's characters and wanted to see them succeed.

This book is a must for any child and any person wishing to understand some things about the process of learning, such as "the rules" or being responsible for self. This book belongs in the hands of every young child. It should be a mandatory read for all elementary schools -- it's that valuable!

Although I see this book is available on Kindle, I read it in paperback on the web by looking up the title. If you're a single parent who may not have time for any other book for your child, or you know of a child who needs guidance, or even a man who grew up fatherless, I would highly recommend you find and buy this book, Becoming the King/Where's my father?
