5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Women in Stem
This book contains good helpful information for women who are majoring in STEM. It shows what you can expect by majoring or working in the area of engineering. It gives women confidence to become leaders for the industry, because the industry really needs women!

3.0 out of 5 stars Sprial Bound?
I'm not sure how I missed that this book is spiral bound, but for $30, I would have expected a hard cover. I bought this book for my wife, I hope she likes it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A "How To" for STEM Women, August 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Emerson and Williams have put a number of STEM skills to work in the development of their book "Becoming Leaders". The book is ergonomically designed for portability, and is cleverly organized into 20 short and readable sections. Content includes a Road Map for several career options including STEM students, working professionals, women in academia, and managers in academia or public and private organization.

What I especially like about this book is that the authors not only cover STEM related topics in the classroom and work place, but the critically related topics such as work-life balance, time management, diversity management and accountability, and sexual harassment are also covered. This book is a valuable resource for women and their managers at all career levels.
