The words in this book have the power to ignite dynamic healing wisdom in the reader--men and women alike. These writen words are creative, brave, and certainly meant to touch our sprits. Healing is possible because Dr. Rose Kumar bravely speaks from her own life changing experiences and then, wisely and creatively weaves and layers the best of current medical information. All togher, words are brought to life---along with practical ideas for daily living. It is my hope that senior leaders in healthcare read this to also bring healing to the medical system as a whole. Thank you Dr. Kumar!

Becoming Real" book by Dr. Rose Kumar

Every male and female on this planet can gain considerable insight and clarity into the complexities of the us humans by reading and incorporating suggested life strategies by this most insightful author. This is one of the most comprehensive, yet elegantly written summaries of the key elements that comprise our bodies... physical, mental, emotional, energy ... natures. Seldom do the majority of people even imagine the real impact that our Emotional and Energy bodies contribute to our complications of health and well being. Dr. Kumar is elegant in her real life descriptions of comprehensive health, medical treatments, and informative descriptions of distressing complications of mid life issue. While concentrating on the Feminine Principal ... this is a must read for all males as well, as they also go thru a mid life transformation with little or no understanding from traditional medical or psychological writers. Dr. Kumar includes important and meaningful food issues that are so frequently misunderstand, yet so widely misused and adopted by the masses. Paying attention to Gluten, Dairy, Sugar and Alcohol food groups is especially enlightening. Cause and effects of dietary components clearly explain complicated symptoms that are frequently so mis-diagnosed and treated by the Western Medical community providers. This is a must read book in my humble opinion.

Dave ... a life long student trying to better understand life processes and all of its meaning for better fulfillment and quality of our lives.

This book & Dr, K Iinspires me to be my best self. I feel that if her courage and drive to live authentically & follow her calling (and not until her 40's!) has had such a positive, constructive influence on others- what is possible if I choose to do that now, at 27... what kind of positive influence/ contribution can I have on others & the world.

I feel like I had such a hunger for her story & information that she provides in the book. I originally purchased it for the middle age women in my life, but she said that i could find value in is as well, and I definitely have. I have felt myself undergoing a transformation while reading it-It's nice to get understanding & context of her background & she writes so beautifully, it's like a big smile when I read her words.

What I like most about her, is what a good educator she is- explaining the why & the cause of what is happening inside of me/us... and what easy, practical changes we can make to have the lives we want. Knowledge is empowering.

I recently completed my first reading of this book - it provided me insight to my own being and person that I did not know existed, nor think possible to feel. Interestingly, it feels familiar - like reuniting with a true friend from long ago - a surprising feeling. It is a bit strange, but I see and feel myself in my body, and not from the outside looking in - so peaceful, yet empowering. I now feel a meaning to my living that I absolutely had given up on. This book has brought back to me the "Love for Life" I had lived for so many years, but now with a much deeper meaning and insightful understanding.

I feel this, I believe in it's truth, relevance and power - for both men and women.

I will be reading this book again, this time with more specific note-taking and action planning.

Dr. Kumar has my most sincere "Thank You".

Written in a language that reaches directly into the soul, Dr. Rose Kumar's book ignites healing at the deepest level of the psyche. Practical and profound; touching and tenacious, one can feel the sacred feminine resurrecting itself for the work of transforming each of us individually and all of us collectively. It is a MUST READ for anyone who feels disconnected from who they really are--for anyone seeking true healing and alignment with their personal power.

As a midlife executive male, I can say that this book is helpful for both
men and women. All men who have relationships with women should read this
so that they can understand the power of the menopausal process. The book
itself provides an extraordinary framework for transformation into
authenticity in midlife for both men and women. It is an excellent read and
brings, depth, meaning and synthesis to the life process. I highly
recommend this book for men and women of all ages.

Becoming Real was the resource I needed as I realized my body was changing in midlife. Not only is Dr. Kumar's perspective enlightening and inspiring, she provides easy-to-understand medical information. The insights she shares encouraged me and led to significant changes in my acceptance of my changing body and new, healthier behaviors. She includes her deep knowlege and experiences as well as those of representative patients. I think this is a 'must read' book for any woman challenged by midlife changes and what's occurring both physically and emotionally.
