5.0 out of 5 stars Faith Builder
Becoming a Woman of Faith challenges your walk in many ways. It teaches you to overcome doubt, to trust the Lord by stepping out in action, and learning about those whom the Bible says had much faith. In tradiational Cynthia Heald fashion, the book fills you with knowledge from other famous and devoted Christians, keeps you on your toes with looking up verses, and ends...

2.0 out of 5 stars Alittle displeased
I was little displeased due to the fact the book had alot of personal thoughts in it. Lots of writing. Who would sell a book with tht much writing in it? Didnt leave room for even my notes. Also wasnt mentioned in description.

5.0 out of 5 stars Being a Woman of Faith in a Fallen World, June 2, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Becoming a Woman of Faith (Paperback)
This book is based in reality. It doesn't tell you to do, do, do and don't do that or that or that. It focuses on growing closer to God THROUGH the difficult circumstances and letting Him grow you up.

It is very female-oriented to how God fashioned us without being fluff or sappy.

I am writing this review through a verbal transcribing on behalf of my wife:

Heald does a good job for someone new to the faith. I found it too basic.

The last three chapters would benefit all levels of knowledge: helping to keep faith strong; well written stories.

"Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith."

We started a women's Bible study several months ago and have tried a variety of books to guide our group. This book has been the best by far. The themes of each chapter are easy to follow and generate good conversation.

5.0 out of 5 stars quality product, October 22, 2009

My women's group at church had decided to read and discuss this book as our topic for this season. I was not able to find it locally and was pleased that Amazon did have it in stock when I went online. And the price was better, even with S&H, than what a local used book store had it listed for. Delivery was quick.
