I got this product and it seemed to work pretty well but there were still some bed bugs on some clothes. But some of them are bug free! Think it may be user error and I am going to try to rewash those clothes and put in less clothes. I've found that even in a hot dryer, clothes that are thick or have a weave to the fabric are harder to get rid of the bugs. Even with this product you should wash in hot water and do small loads in the washer and dryer.

The main ingredient in this product is sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). Although SLS originates from coconuts, the chemical is anything but green and natural. SLS is an extremely strong skin irritant, which can be easily absorbed through the skin, and even accumulates in the liver, brain and heart for a long period of time. You can find many research publications in terms of how long-term repetitive sodium lauryl sulfate induce irritation of the skin. Clearly this product, which has 3% SLS, should not be sold as a product at all because of all the side effects and health concerns. If you have rashes or eczema after using this product, it could be caused by SLS instead of bed bug's bites. As a matter of fact, this was exactly what happened to me before I realized I had been using this product to wash my clothes. I travel a lot so I bought this product to prevent bed bugs. I did not pay attention to its active ingredients until my skin started to have problems. A few weeks after I stopped using it, all my rashes and "bits" are gone.

According to Wikipedia, SLS can be used to aid in lysing cells during DNA extraction and for unraveling proteins in SDS-PAGE. Sodium lauryl sulfate, in science referred to as sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) or Duponol, is commonly used in preparing proteins for electrophoresis in the SDS-PAGE technique. This compound works by disrupting non-covalent bonds in the proteins, denaturing them, and causing the molecules to lose their native shape (conformation).

Useful, and incredibly easy on the fabric. I was at first worried about any issues the solution would have on colors, etc, but it's been great. Minimal scent. No itching or bed bugs thus far one month on.

If your gonna use the bed bug spray then get the laundry treatment for sure because it helps to get rid of the bugs as well. I can tell and see the difference by using both . Theirs no strong or overpowering smell which I really like because I can still use my laundry detergent with it clean my clothes and get rid of the bugs at the same time. You don't need to pour that much in the wash when you wash your stuff which is also a big plus just shake well and pour some in the wash with or without laundry detergent and add your clothes.

Using my second bottle in about a year now, I DO NOT HAVE BED BUGS OR ANY TYPE OF(BUG)PROBLEMS & NEVER HAVE TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE. I live in a realively clean senior/handicapped bldg but one never knows, so i use it with my laundry for preventative measures, it has no odors. Plus I've used it to spray my mattress/box spring, etc and sealed them. No problems. "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". One never knows.

32 oz = 32 washes. Bottom line? I can't say if this product really works or not.

It produced a lot of suds and shut my washer off. I thought maybe I used too much. I started looking at the label and compared it to the 911 bed bug spray. Its exactly the same stuff! If the spray is to be used directly on the bug, how in the hell is a cap full diluted in the wash going to do anything at all to a bed bug? I think this stuff is a complete waste of money. Hot water and a hot dryer has got to be way more effective than this product.
