Now This is How You Start Off a Series!!,

This review is from: In Bed With Her Boss (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Brenda Jackson sets the foundation of the first Kimani series and did a wonderful job! In this story we met Opal and her boss D'Marcus. To Opal D'Marcus is not the best boss in the world attitude wise but she still trys to be nice and reach out to him. D'Marcus is standoffish to Opal because he is attracted to her. They find out their attraction to each other and act on it. And boy do the ACT on it. Mrs J can craft some love scenes!! Still D'Marcus keeps Opal at arms length because of past hurt. Mrs J. does a good job introducing the rest of the Lockhart sisters and other key characters to the series. If you are a fan of Mrs. J's work them you will enjoy this book.

Another great one from Ms. Jackson!,

Ms. Jackson has given us another book to love. If I had a boss like D'Marcus then I would be employee of the year. This is an excellent page turner...I couldn't put it down. Opal and her family remind me of the Huxtables. D'Marcus is the boss from hell...with all the right moves in and out of the bedroom. The only thing I don't like is that Ms.Jackson is not going to write the stories for Opal's three sisters....wishful thinking on my part.

What a nice start to a series. This novel was interesting, alittle slow at times but I liked it. The chemistry between D'marcus and Opal was hot but I didn't like how Opal was willing to settle for just an affair with him. She should have seen where the relationship was going before she gave up her goodies, but as with all Brenda Jackson novels, in the end the main characters fall in love.. yadda yadda yadda.

Not the Greatest Read,

I never thought I would say this about any of Brenda Jackson's books, but I did not think this book was all that good. It was missing something. D'marcus and Opal when at it quite a bit in this book and after a while I got bored with it. I guess I was looking for more romance. I am used to lots and lots of romance in Ms. Jackson's books. Nevertheless I am and will always be die-hard a Brenda Jackson fan. She is still my favorite author.

Just when I was getting into the story it was over! It would have rated a 5 if the story had been more in depth.

Wonderfully Written,

Ms. Jackson has done it again! I enjoyed this book. Opal was strong, yet shy. She knew what she wanted in life. D'Marcus was strong and a hard worker. Ms. Jackson's description of D'Marcus' need to have Opal in his life was wonderful. I could almost see the brotha in my mind just having pains over Opal. Loved the imagery and loved the family of sisters. Can't wait for the story of the Pastor and his lady love and the one about Ruby. I also loved that there names were of precious stones.

Over the last couple of months, I've found that Mrs. Jackson's books haven't been as fulfilling as tjhey were at one time, but she has so redeemed herself with this book. D'marcus and Opal are perfect for each other. He's a demanding tyrant, who just happens to be gorgeous, while she's a beautiful assistant who refuses to be pushed around. When the two get together, the results are explosive. It's quite entertaining to watch them grow towards each other. This is the 1st of a four part series and Mrs. Jackson has thrown the gauntlet dowmn with a perfect piece of literature.

Brenda has done it again. From boardroom to bedroom. D'marcus and Opal's love story is one of her best. I read this book in one day. I could not put it down. I am waiting on the books about Opal's sisters.
