Excellent film footage of the greatest breakthrough in world peace since the Treaty of Versailles. North Vietnamese General Vo Nyugen Giap claimed in his recent memoirs that John and Yokos weeks long "bed-in" for peace in an Amsterdam hotel in 1969 was one of the major turning points in the Vietnam War. While this is common knowledge, however, few people are aware that when Ringo Starr and his wife Barbara Bach decided to have a lie-in one Sunday morning in the late seventies, it averted a small border war between the West African countries of Mali and Burkina Faso. Ringos album Back off Boogaloo topped the charts in a grateful Timbuctu for months afterwards!
