This is simply one of the funniest movies ever made.
Apart from this movie being rather funny, the music was suprisingly good in contrast to other movies of its time (cough Wild in the Streets cough).
Stanley Donen, no stranger to directing films based on tricky screenplays, does full justice to Cook's mordant, wildly imaginative vision.
