By Pegathae (Oklahoma) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bede Griffiths: An Introduction to His Interspiritual Thought (Paperback)
An explorations of the commonality between Eastern Spirituality and Traditional Christian beliefs. Bede Griffiths is a contemporatary mystic - a convert from the Church of England and a Benedictine priest who started a Christian Ashraham in Southern India. He weaves a tapastry of the "interspiritual" thought of the Jesus who worked and taught in the world of the East.
Really it's not so far out as it seems and is a very good book for discussion groups.

Teasdale's mentor,

This review is from: Bede Griffiths: An Introduction to His Interspiritual Thought (Paperback)
Here we have good background of Bede Griffith's approach to a Christian Vedanta or seeing Christ in Indian scripture and spiritual tradition. The author was a good friend of Bede's and probably has as thorough an understanding of his views and life as anyone. If one has an interest in both Christianity and yoga this book provides an in depth theological coverage of the thinking of one of the most significant contemporary authors of inter-religious dialogue.
