4.0 out of 5 stars I've been waiting for this, June 7, 2003
This review is from: Bedlam (Audio CD)
Continuously Hive delivers. I've been a fan since I first heard Ultrasonic Sound on the Matrix soundtrack and have gobbled up anything of his that's come across my path. Truly possessing an ear for music, Hive's musical prowess has ranged from punk to jazz, ultimately leading up to American drum'n'bass, showing me the power and decisive aggression that was lacking in the British artists I'd been listening to before Hive. This album is no exception. Hive groups together action film and club-ready tracks to rock you with the dark soul of Africa and Jamaica crossed-up with the wildness of L.A. and New York. Non-believers and traditionalists will be left behind in the wake.

4.0 out of 5 stars Average coming from Hive, July 5, 2005

Too much tech step/hard step and not enough rollerz and drum oriented tracks. If you want to hear a good mix by Hive, check out his mix for drum n bass arena on [...].

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great, March 12, 2005

The samples have seem to of given this cd alittle too much to expect. The first track was great, then it tends to see saw between the mix. Its still a pretty good hard hitting jungle cd.

The MAD FLO of this compilation is BANGIN'! PHEW! I haven't a harder DNB compilation like this one EVER! Check [website] for some more wickedness. HIVE and KLUTE are the most AMAZING artists in DNB period. Check out some of his hip-hop trax as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Jungle will never die............, August 24, 2002

I have been a Hive fan since I first got turned on to jungle music. Hive brings the west-coast flava to the jungle market that other DJs dont even begin to change. Hive has dome much work at making drum and bass in the United States far different than the UK counterparts. Hive is definitely one of the most skilled and most groundbreaking jungle DJs that I have ever come across in jungle music. I would suggest anyone that decides to purchase this mix should do so, along with the other mixes that Hive has put out in the past, and don't be suprised if Hive makes your body rock and your heart stop with the track selection that is included on this CD!!!

I've waited for this CD for roughly 6 months, and its worth the wait. I've heard previous Jungle/Drum and Bass collections done by other artists, but Hives club mix Bedlam is one of the best i've heard! This is a perfect CD for a dance. Excellent example of Jungle music. Check this one out.
