He highly suggested this product to me as it was actually in his work's arsenal and that they always use it when dealing with the critters.

No one expects this to happen to them, and like most - you're embarrassed if it does happen.

I'm a NYC'er. In the past decade, bedbugs have made an (unfortunate) resurgence. To make a long story short; they're the most annoying, insidious pest. Unlike roaches, bedbugs have NOTHING to do with keeping your apartment clean. It can happen to ANYONE. Once you have them, you don't notice them at first, as they're sooooo small. But you'll start scratching. When they become adults, again - you still really won't see them, because they come out at dawn. They're in & out. Once you've reached for the light-switch - they're gone.

Then (oy!) you look at your sheets, and you might see little (red - blood) dots, or maybe even a couple. BUT, when you pull off the sheets in horror, and look at the SEAM areas.... you're gonna be sick.

The first impulse is to reach for the 'bug spray,' usually roach killer. Uh un. Don't work.

When you've got them, that means they've gotten IN to your; mattress, sheets, carpets, clothes...EVERYWHERE.

There are chemicals that DO work (and ones that DON'T) BEDLAM PROFESSIONAL BED BUG INSECTICIDE is one that DOES.

FYI; here in NYC, you can even get bedbugs by sitting on a subway BENCH. Someone has them, and while you're sitting, they fall off them, and come to you. UGH!

Knowing that (and once having a HORRIBLE problem with them at my grandma's who (naturally) thought we were attacking her cleanliness), I know what the hell it can be to deal with them, and get rid of them.

I like to err on the side of caution. While I DON'T have them, I always want to have a bedbug insecticide on hand. Every few months, I do a light misting - of all my furniture, and in my closets - just to be safe. BEDLAM is a GREAT product to have on hand, in addition to using as a first line offensive weapon.

This product works well. HOWEVER, as some have found, it won't work alone. When I ordered this product, I also purchased Delta dust. I started outside of the infected room and worked my way toward that room, to avoid infestation in the rest of the house. I put down delta dust along the walls and removed the switch plates and dusted inside of the walls. I even dusted across the doorways. BTW - Diotomaceous earth works well, too, for this. Just remember to re-apply to the floor after vacuuming. Once I dusted, I sprayed all surfaces of the bed, including the headboard. I placed the legs into bowls and sprayed some more to make a puddle. All items that couldn't be sprayed went into a black trash bag and into the sun for several days. This killed any live bugs in books or electronics. Those electronics I couldn't bag were placed into a pan and the base was sprayed with bedlam. If anything decided to come out to feed, it had to go through a puddle of insecticide first. ALL clothing was washed and dried in hot water with hot drying cycle. If it couldn't be washed, it went into a black trash bag in the sun.

Maybe our infestation was light, but we only saw two adult bugs. With treatment, we have not had any further problems. That said, I have a single family home, so I don't have to deal with neighbors that haven't treated and are causing reinfestation.

the first time we discovered bed bugs i was very embarrassed ,,, i am a cleaning freak, but this has nothing to do with being clean.
We just bought a bed box from the wrong place.

we called our landlord who brought us experts to help. The pesticides control expert used the same product and he gave us some advice concerning spraying:
1- you have to spray like an expert .. dont leave a spot
2- empty the room completely from small items
3- separate the mattress and the box and pillows, headboard ,,,etc
4- Spray all corners and use light so you can spot a nest or something
5- spray everything; corners, sides, linces, floor, walls, .. etc
6- close the room for 4 hours

what he didnt tell us is that they dont go from the first application.

What I do and it really works is that every 3 months, I open the room, windows to allow fresh air, I remove all small items from the room and separate the mattress and board ,, etc and spray everything ,, I pay special attention to corners, stitches of sheets..holes ,, etc
also cover the box and mattress with special isolation cover (you can get them from Target for 50+ USD depends on the size of the mattress) zip them and NEVER take them off EVER

I had a bed bug problem that started off small and gradually got worse over a period of 6 weeks or so. I started getting random rashes that were crazy itchy but never suspected the bugs until my girlfriend saw one crawling on me. Talk about freaky!! Once you know you have bedbugs you'll be flipping out at every little slight itch that you get and can't sleep at night because you know they'll be coming out to get you :(.

I had called around to several pest control companies and the quotes I were getting were from $600-800 and there wasn't a guarantee that the bugs would be gone so I had to think of an alternative as that would have been way to costly. I work in a hotel and there's this pest control guy that comes once a month so the next time I saw him I asked him about recommendations on what to do. He highly suggested this product to me as it was actually in his work's arsenal and that they always use it when dealing with the critters. I used this along with dusting my apartment with diatomaceous earth for about 2 weeks by which then the nightmare had finally came to an end.
