Not worth the money,

Some features of the chair are helpful. The arms are sturdy and more like a "chair" than those husband type bed rests you can buy in any store. Nice material, not cheap. The lumbar support is nothing more than a pillow stuffed behind fabric that you can move up and down. It is mildly supportive of the lower back, not the best. The headrest, I feel, is useless. I have yet to find any support from it. They make the chair seem like it is a chaise lounge of some sort and you can lean back with it. I've not found any of this to be true. I bought mine through the company who manufactures it because they had a special. They do not respond to emails. They will prior to purchase, but subsequent problems should be followed up with phone calls as they ignore emails. I'm not impressed with this product or the customer support of the company. It looks like there are other products (similar) that cost 1/2 the price. Update......the regular size is not right either. If you are a petite person, I would not bother with this chair. Again, customer service for bedlounge.com has not responded. It cost $15 to return the chair and they say you have 60 days to try it and return it for only a $12 restocking fee.......so if I shipped this one I end up with no product and I'm out $42. I've written to them, but they have not responded. So I'm giving this $117 dollar chair to someone else who can use it.

Doesn't hold its shape,

My initial thoughts were to get a bed rest without any frills like heaters, massage or lighting. The Bedlounge seemed like it fit my requirements. My first mistake was to order the optional lumbar pillow. It's an overpriced pillow that is very similar to what you find on an airplane for free. I removed it immediately and never used it again. My next mistake was not to return this product immediately.The Bedlounge does its job for a few months and then the armrests loose their support ability. If you look at the picture, it shows the armrests perpendicular (90 degree angle) to the surface. After only a few months of use, mine are almost flat to the surface -- providing little arm support. There is a warranty that says the it covers the inner support not breaking. I'm fairly sure nothing has broken; rather, is has simply reshaped itself into a useless position. I'm very unhappy with this purchase and would not recommend this product at any price.

I suppose the BedLounge is somewhat better than a random stack of pillows, but in no way is the price justified. The description makes this sound like a high tech, ergonomic device. In reality, it's some foam with arms, and a pillow on a stick. As other reviewers have noted, it doesn't really recline, you have to move it forward and lean it back against a wall or headboard--by the BedLounge definition of "recline", my kitchen chairs are also "recliners" because I can lean them against a wall, too. The "adjustable headrest" is, quite literally, a pillow on a stick. You have to prop and position it as much as you would any pillow, and the stick actually makes it harder to adjust while you're sitting in the thing. I've had the BedLounge about a month, and under light use it's already lost support and shape.I'd probably give the thing two stars (the cover is nice quality, and the arms are the right height for me at 5'9" or so), if it weren't for the utterly horrible customer service from Cequal. Trying to get a refund of the expedited shipping after *they* screwed up has been impossible, and I've had to take it up with the credit card company and will likely hit up the BBB as well. I find it baffling that a company would be so difficult to deal with and would further alienate a customer over a relatively small amount of money. As much as I'd like to return both the BedLounge and the equally craptastic LegLounger I purchased from them, I fear I'd never see the refund money, and would still be out the cost of all the FedEx shipping.
