Now that her grandmother's moved into a retirement center Gabrielle Dayton has agreed to move into her home and make it her own. There are a few things that require changing and she's hired a local carpenter to see to the alterations. The last thing she expects is to be so physically attracted to Luke and as a twenty-six year old virgin she's ready to discover exactly what she's been missing.

Luke Delaney's attracted to Gabrielle from the moment he arrives to find out about the carpentry work she requires. He doesn't do relationships and he certainly isn't going to make things uncomfortable by hitting on her while working for her. Of course once the job's over then it would be safe to make his attraction known.

Right away Luke is captivated by Gabrielle. Her spunky personality and sense of humor thoroughly enchants him and the only problem the Luke sees in taking this job is keeping his hands off her. The last thing he expects is for her to take the reins and ask him out, though he has to confess that it's a relief to not have to try to hide his desire for her. Gabrielle's not looking for a happily-ever-after, she's just ready to experience firsthand all the naughty things she's read about and believes that Luke will be the perfect teacher. Sexually they're more than compatible but they're worlds apart emotionally. Luke's experienced a loss so painful he's unwilling to risk his heart to that sort of emotional devastation again. Gabrielle, however, has spent her whole life being dictated to and is determined to live life on her terms - without having to answer for everything she does.

The sexual tension between Gabrielle and Luke is off the charts practically from the very first page of this fast paced story. Sophia Rae brings these characters to life and keep readers riveted to each scene as it develops. I thoroughly enjoyed Gabrielle's bold decision to entice Luke into teaching her about sex and the emotional results of the time they spend together. This story is filled with humor, lots of scorching hot sex, emotional turmoil, love and family who aren't afraid to butt into each other's business.
