OK, only real talk allowed here. After reading `Fly on the Wall', I was on hot pins and needles waiting for `Bedroom Bully'. After the heat in that book I just knew this one was going to be the same. Unfortunately, it was not. The sexual scenes were hot but the one thing that kept throwing me off was the plotline. I know when you read fiction you must willfully suspend your disbelief in the "real world" or you won't enjoy yourself. To be honest, that is THE reason I read fiction; I want to be taken away to a fictional world. But too many things in this novel made me go, "no freaking way" and "you gotta be kidding me".

Willing suspension of disbelief is one thing, having me believe the impossible is another. Yes, there were a number of very funny scenes in this book and yes, there are a few hot sexual scenes. However, the plotline that glued them together was peppered with one "what the heck" after another. This book was good enough for me to have finished it, it wasn't so bad that I won't read anything else by Trista, but I cannot recommend it.

Could you have sex with a fugitive let alone fall in love with one. Well enter the world of Audra Chandler, while waiting for her so called boyfriend Daryl at a local bar she hears of the infamous "turnpike killer". Not really scared of the idea of a fugitive on the lose she she heads home after finding out that Daryl will not be joining her. Upon entering her home she is approached by whom she at first assumes is Daryl until she feels the gun pressed against her side.

Dean Tyson is on the run after shoot two police officers after being pulled over and verbally assaulted by one of the officer. the shoot out never would of have had Dean been in his right stated of mind but after finding out that his 7 year old daughter was being molested by her mother's new husband all common sense and logic went out the window. After ditching his car and running around aimlessly he needs a place to rest and wrap his mind around everything that as happened in the last couple of hours. He sees Audra entering her apartment and their story begins.

This is a modern day love story and Trista did a phenomenal job of bring the heat. Audra and Deans sexually attraction basically leaps of the pages. Ms Russell tells a drama filled story of forbidden love. How far would you go for the one you love? I gave this book five stars I was captivated from beginning to end and loved every minute of it.

So after a VERY long wait..I finally came home to BEDROOM BULLY in my mailbox. From beginning to end I was captivated with the story of Audra and Dean. I LOVED the plot, and I expecially LOVED the very vivid love scenes in the book. I found myself rooting for Dean and hoping that somehow he could overcome all of the things he had going on and be able to be with Audra the right way. When I read fiction books, I LOVE how some are able to transcend the real world and bring some of our wildest, craziest fantasies that we sometimes secretly wish we could do, to print. Trista is a master of creating those stories that makes those fantasies come alive in our head. I have been a fan of Trista's since her first book, and she ALWAYS AMAZES me with her work. I LOVED the book and I CAN'T WAIT to see what Trista has in store for us next time :-)

This is the first book I have read by Trista Russell and it was a pretty good read.

Trista did an excellent job at painting pictures of the characters for her readers. I was able to get a good visual of the characters as I read along. As an avid book reader, I understand that is not always easy to do. The author also does an excellent job at keeping the attention of the reader. The plot was interesting. Although it was a bit 'out there' it was not beyond belief. As I read along, I thought to myself, "this COULD happen." That made a difference for me. The sex scenes had me exhaling and saying, "oh my!" The rationale of Dean Tyson was reasonable, considering why he was on a rampage, but the author did go a bit far with the racist cop.

RECOMMENDATION: If you like sexy, erotic suspense, then GET THE BOOK!!! Russell handles her own in the 'arousing sex scene' department. This book will have you wishing a 'turnpike killer' would greet you at your door....OMG!!! Without a doubt, it was a page turner. I read the book in a day, and found myself having to harnace my eyes' desire to jump over to the next page before I actually read to it. That is a huge compliment to any author.

On the flip side, there is a reason why I am only able to give this title 4 stars. Although it was a good read, the storyline was a tad bit far-stretched. At times, I was concerned that it would become too unrealistic, but Russell managed to keep me grounded. The end of the book began to lose me a bit. The main character, Dean Tyson, began to do things that were contradictory to the picture Russell had been painting of the character for the entire book. It was a bit confusing. It was almost like Russell ran out of steam or was getting pushed by the publisher to finish the title. The end left much to be desired.

I try to make it a habit for read others' reviews on a title, to help me take a definitive stance in my own review of the title. I am happy that I read this book, and I am excited about reading more of her works. After reading the other reviews, "Fly On The Wall" looks like it needs to be my next read. Keep a look out...reviews will be coming for that title, as well.

[And Trista-Girl, thank you for making Dean out to be built like an "real man" because I hope most of us know, most men are not equipped with the tools of a 'perfect looking stripper'. And in most cases, big is not best. The "just right" and realistic size of Dean Tyson is just what we need...realistic and "just right!"]

This book was a fast read, I finished this in one day. It was enteraining but some parts were a little far-fetched. I have to say the best book Trista was written so far is Gone for Broke. I will still purchase Trista's book because I like her writing.

Audra Lopez desperately wants to believe her current boyfriend, Darryl, will leave his girlfriend and devote all of his time to her, but he continues to lie to her; standing her up when he says he wants to be with her. While sitting in her favorite local drinking hole, once again stood up by Darryl, a major news story flashes across the television about the manhunt for the "Turnpike Cop Killer" and the city is in an uproar.

Dean Casey has made a terrible decision he can't turn back from and it may cost him his life. After discovering his young daughter is being molested, he resolves the situation the way only a loving, caring father would do, however, his way causes bloodshed. On the run, needing a place to hide to gather his thoughts, he sees Audra going into her house and decides to hold her hostage. As Audra is held captive and fearful for her life, she conforms to this sexy, handsome man's every command until she no longer is a frightened, helpless prisoner.

In BEDROOM BULLY, Russell weaves a scorching hot tale of murder, sex and drama. The chemistry between the characters leaps off the pages along with the explosive twists and turns to keep the reader hanging on the edge of their seat.

This book was ok, the storyline wasn't as realistic as I wanted it to be, but it was okay for my book club!

BRIEF SUMMARY
Audra is going about her everyday life when she is held at gun point and held hostage in her home by Dean. Dean is on the run and is labeled the Turnpike Cop Killer. Dean is a dad and hardworking, so he is distraught to find himself in the situation he is currently in. All Audra wants to do is get out of this hostage situation but also finds herself strongly attracted to Dean.

THOUGHTS

I really love this story, though what happen was a bit unrealistic at times. The situation was crazy; however, what they did behind close doors and to each other were SCANDALOUS!!! You definitely have to view this story as a hot torrid fantasy that had Dean and Audra steaming up the pages.

The moment Dean took Audra hostage I kept wanting to read more as you are wondering how things will unfold. Both characters went through their highs and lows moment with decisions that they made. Although Audra was in a bad situation she was turned on and a freak, but that personality gave the book the edge. Dean wasn't your typical man on the run and although he tries to do the right thing everything kept falling apart.

I'm giving this book 5 stars but I was not happy with the ending. I think that ending was not a fitting ending. I kept reading wanting to know how it will end, but when I got my answer I was really upset.

The latest Trista Russell novel, Bedroom Bully, stretches your imagination as the premise, a woman falling in love with her kidnapper, is somewhat disturbing. In usual Trista fashion, she develops the characters such that early on, you understand why Dean does what he does and why Audra could love a man like him.

The connection b/t Dean and Audra was immediate and electric bcz both were lost souls in search of healing, especially sexual healing. At his core, Dean is honorable in his intentions to protect his daughter, but he gets caught up in a big mess along the way. Audra has been settling in her romantic life and soon gets caught up in Dean's fiasco as well.

Once they're on the run, Trista introduces new characters that make the novel very intriguing. I've always heard that its good to have "low friends in high places". Well, Dom is that "low friend" in more ways than one. Chante is an unwelcome surprise as well.

The plot thickens and really takes off when they flee Miami. By the end, you want Dean and Audra to escape and stay together, but

First off this is got to be the most avant-garde story that I have ever read. I am sure a man who finds out his child has been violated by a man that lives with the child would do anything in his power to get his child away from that danger. But this did not entail that, instead it focused on a fugitive who is getting it on with a perfect stranger he takes hostage. Okay so now you have a woman who lets a fugitive do whatever and ruin her life for sex. Seriously, this book does not relate to any real life situation and it cannot be imagined. It's just plain buffoonery at its greatest! Every other book that Trista Russell wrote could be possibly believed or envisioned, but this just went to far. If you have a great mind of frabrication and only like to daydream maybe this is a good read for you, but I like real drama that can be envisioned. This was just senseless. If the sex is so good were nothing not even my own life matters to me anymore then I'll pass!
