About the Author

Clear Englebert is a long-time feng shui consultant and teacher and an internationally acclaimed writer on feng shui. His first book, Feng Shui Demystified, was originally published in 2000 by The Crossing Press and reissued in a revised edition by iUniverse in 2010. He is also the author of two beautiful feng shui books with full color photographs throughout-Feng Shui for Hawaii and Feng Shui for Hawaii Gardens-both from Watermark Publishing. More About the Author

I am a feng shui consultant, teacher, and speaker, and a professional member of the International Feng Shui Guild. I consult in homes, gardens, and commercial spaces throughout Hawaii, and (via telephone) throughout the world.

I began a career in the book business at age 15. I created three bookstores, the first in 1971. With decades of experience in retail visual merchandising, I began consulting on residential interiors on Hawaii in 1994. My feng shui practice, begun on Hawaii, blossomed when I moved to San Francisco in 1996. There I was featured on the popular television program Evening Magazine and the Mandarin-language TV program Evening News, as well as the San Francisco Chronicle. I returned to Hawaii in 2002, and have been featured in Pacific Business News, Honolulu Star-Bulletin, and Hawaii Tribune-Herald. I have also been featured in the Okinawan Times and other Japanese newspapers.

'I couldn't practice feng shui if I didn't believe in it, and I wouldn't believe in it if I hadn't seen it work,' I feel that my Libra-Rabbit astrological traits suit me to feng shui consulting. I brings practical skills in organizing, merchandising, staging, and horticulture to My work. My Form School (Landform) feng shui practice is noted for accommodating the client's aesthetics and common sense, and for avoiding consumerism and superstition. 'I want my clients and students to know why they're doing something. It is, after all, their home.'

The 2011 edition has an excellent index which the earlier edition lacked, and there are vastly more illustrations including some helpful photographs. It is also available as an e-book.

made my bedroom very very conducive to sleep. it was like as soon as i entered i'd feel like passing out. that took away from the space a little for me because i had also treasured my bedroom as a personal i-just-need-my-space kind of place, which could sometimes even be a getting-ready-to-go-out sexy or lovingly-passionate place. these tips zapped those energies out.
