A perfect baby shower gift; a perfect Christmas gift; a great gift for any age group. Falkner's transformation of classical Beatles songs into "A Lullaby Album" is fantastic, enjoyable, delightful, soothing, nostalgic, pleasurable. The lullaby quality of the music is particularly reassuring. After the baby's asleep baby boomers might also want to put on the headphones. As Jason says in the liner notes: "it also sounds good at maximum volume." Whether you find the cd in the Jason Falkner, Beatles, or Children's section, this is a cd worth looking for.

I am not a huge Beatles fan. I like them, and have a lot of good memories, but that's not why I love this album. First, I believe it's important to play music to a baby (I'm a couple weeks away from having my first, so I'm no expert--it just makes sense to me). This music is so soothing and entertaining at the same time that I can't believe it. I find the songs running through my head during the day. Obviously I haven't played it for my daughter yet, but my wife and I have gone to sleep to it as we try to bank some rest before the baby comes. You can easily get the feel of this album by listening to the samples, which are representative. Also, this is a cool and different gift. If you know a Beatles fan having a baby, its a must.

many beatles albums made for the younger set often stink.., but THIS is the good stuff.
the songs are beautifully done, and don't have the nasty remake feel many beatles remake albums do.
perfect for anyone, not just babies

My daughter received this CD as a gift shortly after she arrived in the USA from China. It was given to her by her Aunt because she knows I've been a big Beatles fan all my life. My daughter was 13 months when she arrived and this music was very soothing to her at bed time. She is now three and once a week picks out her own bedtime music for the week. It seems every other week we are going back to this CD. She loves it - I love it, too. This CD is VERY well done.

My husband and are are musicians and huge Beatles fans and we LOVE this CD. The arrangements are breathtakingly beautiful and not "elevatoresque" at all.

this is a wonderful gift to give someone on the arrival of a baby. You can even get a blue or pink case for the baby's sex. Jason Falkner does a wonderful job playing Beatles songs in child-friendly tones. Since he was a month old, my 6 month old son listens to this every night while falling asleep. This CD would also be great to play as background music for a dinner party or whatever! Not too childish like Baby Eisnstein music is.

Mr. Falkner walks a fine line transforming classic Beatles songs into children's lullabies. What is more amazing is that the transformation actually works and works well.For those Beatle-eletists who think that any remake of the bands work is blasphemy,I say to thee listen carefully before passing judgement.

When I originally purchased this for my daughter,I did so because I did not want just any old lullaby music for her to fall asleep to.You must first look at each song as a lullaby first,Beatles classic second. Each song was done with the utmost care and respect for the original piece. I being a music lover love this disc as much as it calms my daughter for night time slumber. It it very easy to catch yourself humming or singing along with these instumentals. It wins in both categories as lullaby and soft,elegant instumental cover. Difinately a win-win situation for me, it something nice and familiar for me to listen and as well as good songs I would like my daughter to be introduced to and familiar with in such material masquraded here as lullaby songs.

We started listening to it before our baby was born...I don't have enough words to describe how great this CD is. Our baby looooves it. She's already 6 months and she mumbles when she hears it playing. It's very relaxing to her and to us!!! I highly recomend it...

I bought this for my son when he was born. I played it during his naps for almost 3 years! Now I get one as a New baby gift for all my friends. its very soothing

Growing up listening to the Beatles with my dad kind of set the stage for me on this purchase. Our daughter went has gone to sleep every night to this cd for 2 1/2 years. I bought a second one for our son, who is now 13 months, and has also slept to this every night since he was born. I'm glad my kids are sharing with me what I shared with my dad, although now it is only instrumental (give it time). But, the music is beautifully arranged. Oh - the blue and pink are the same songs...just different color cd label.
