Definitely continues their tradition of excellence in erotica,
This review is from: Bedtime, Playtime: Ellora's Cave (Paperback)
The Ellora's Cave books are excellent collections of erotic short stories written by women for women. The three stories included in this book are all very good, and written by long-standing Ellora's Cave authors.
In Warlord by the excellent Jaid Black, Janet Duval's trip to Scotland takes a strange turn when she and a friend suddenly find themselves transported back to medieval Scotland. Euan Donald has had little luck with women, but when he is confronted with the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, he will stop at nothing to make her his own. = Definitely the best story in the book, Jaid Black does a great job of presenting a great story, with interesting characters and an wonderful relationship. In Adam 483: Man or Machine? by Ruth D. Kerce, Captain Tyree Samou of the mineral freighter HCS Jenway, is bored by her unfulfilling life, but has no idea what to do to end her ennui. Her brother has given her a gift of a security android, Adam 483, but there's more to this `bot than meets the eye, and Tyree is very grateful indeed. = A very good story. I rather liked the characters and the sci-fi setting, and the sex is hot, hot, hot! Bachelorette by Sherri L. King tells the story of Catherine Stowe, a woman leading a double life. Never having truly recovered from her betrayal by her fiancé and best friend, she spends her off hours teasing and belittling men. But, when she meets Gideon Fevere she finds that she has meet a man who is truly a man, the kind of man who can touch her in ways she never thought possible. = A good story, with interesting characters in a very interesting situation. This is another great Ellora's Cave book, one that definitely continues their tradition of excellence in erotica! Get a copy today! (Review of Bedtime, Playtime: Ellora's Cave)

Weak Women! Forced & Dominated by Males! NASTY!,

This review is from: Bedtime, Playtime: Ellora's Cave (Paperback)
Since none of the other reviews mention the horrible sex crimes committed in these stories to weak women against their will, I can assume these reviewers like this kind of stuff. I'm sorry, but weird, kinky, painful, and downright physical torture to my body parts with implements against my will and my better judgement is not to my liking. It's not hot steamy lovers and is just 1 syllable short of criminal behaviour. These stories are as perverted as the authors who wrote them.

Out of the 3 stories....I enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd the most. The first one was good but nothing compared to the other two. Good story line with hot romance and a bit of humor thrown in. They all touch on one not knowing what they will find a turn on and are quite surprised to discover it's not what they expected although are crazy happy they took that leap of trust with their lover. I do recommend this book and advise not to pass it over.

This book contains three short stories, described below.
5 stars for WARLORD by Jaid Black. Good story telling for erotica. This was a fun story, very hot and good characters. Janet and Morag go through a mist which takes them back in time to 1052. They are found by two Scottish men who take them and marry them. Data: Story length: 103 pages. Sexual language: erotic. Number of sex scenes: nine. Setting: present day and 1052 Scotland. Copyright: 2001. Genre: erotic time travel romance. Other Books: For a list of my reviews of other Jaid Black books, see my 5 star review of "One Dark Night" posted 4/2/08. 4.5 stars for BACHELORETTE by Sherri L. King. Wow. Wow. Very inventive sex with lots of sex toys and tying up. Usually this much sex comes with a weak story, but in this story the plot was pretty good. If you're looking for an erotic turn on, this is it. Catherine was hurt by her fiance in college. Later she looks and acts shy and mousy during the day, but becomes a sexy persona at night in the bar scene. She meets Gideon at a bar. He later sees her at work and recognizes her but she doesn't know he recognizes her. Story length: 101 pages. Data: Sexual language: erotic. Number of sex scenes: six or more. Setting: present day US and Australia. Copyright: 2003. Genre: erotic contemporary romance. Other Books: I've reviewed the following Sherri L. King stories. 4.5 stars. Bachelorette (in anthology Bedtime, Playtime). Copyrt 2003. My 5 star review for the anthology was posted 4-02-08. 3 stars. Icarus (in anthology Fever-Hot Dreams). Copyrt 2002. My 4 star review for the anthology was posted 5-17-08. 3 stars. Sacred Eden (in anthology Manaconda). Copyrt 2004. My 5 star review for the anthology was posted 1-23-08. 2.5 stars. Voyeurs: Overexposed (in anthology Ellora's Cavemen Tales From The Temple III). Copyrt 2004. My 4 star review for the anthology was posted 12-13-08. 2 stars. Ride The Lightning. Copyrt 2006. Review Date 2-13-10. 3 stars for ADAM 483: MAN OR MACHINE? By Ruth D. Kerce. Heavy with erotic sex. The story was a little weak. This is one of those stories that are primarily for sex with the story as secondary. I prefer a little more story and/or character development. But it was ok. Adam is a man who nearly died in an accident but was saved with robotic body parts. He is called a cyborg. Cyborgs become outlawed so he lives in secret. He is hired as a protector for Tyree, a ship's captain, thinking he is a robot (not a cyborg). Data: Story length: 95 pages. Sexual language: strong/erotic. Number of sex scenes: four or more. Setting: in the uture on a spaceship. Copyright: 2005. Genre: erotic science fiction romance. Other Books: I've reviewed the following Ruth D. Kerce stories. 3 stars. Adam 483: Man or Machine? (in anthology Bedtime, Playtime: Ellora's Cave). Copyrt 2005. My 5 star review for the anthology was posted 4-02-08. 2 stars. Diamond Assets (in anthology Diamond Studs). Copyrt 2005. My 4 star review for the anthology was posted 12-17-08. 2 stars. One Naughty Winter Night (in anthology Winter Studs). Copyrt 2006. My 4 star review for the anthology was posted 12-17-08.

WOW on all three,
This review is from: Bedtime, Playtime: Ellora's Cave (Paperback)
I am always a little hesitant in buying anthologies. Its always the authors unknown to me that just don't do it for me. But I am happy to review that all three stories are great. Hot, Alpha and oh so Sexy Males. You will not be disappointed.
