We love the book. We got our copy at the library, where we get all the "new acquisitions". This one is a keeper - we'll have to go buy a copy. I changed the chant from rumba rumba to rumba bumba which is easier to say. love love love it.

This book is so fun, I am Pta president at my childrens school and our school just had Kristyn Crow come for a all day presentation it was amazing the rhyming and rythm of her books are so fun my children who are 8,10,12 all loved both of her books. They listened to her speak today and also got their books autographed I would recommend her books for anyone with Children. The little boy on the cover of this book looks a lot like the illustrator and has admitted it's him to Mrs.Crow. She was amazing and so are her books. I can't wait for the middle child blues to come out as I will be purchaseing it for my middle childs birthday. Also has another book coming soon called the skeleton cat it looks really cute. You can't go wrong with Kristyn Crow books.

I was looking for some new books for my 3 year old grandson when I came across this one. He is read to every night and his dad was wanting some new material. I always try to find ones that the adult will enjoy reading almost as much as the child will enjoy hearing. Rapunzel was one of my grandson's favorites and when you asked why, he said, "It has a witch." So, a book about a swamp monster sounded perfect!

Bedtime at the Swamp is a delightful read. The words roll of your tongue in a sing-song style. Reminds me of the fun we had reading Dr. Seuss when my kids were little. The pictures are also a delight. This book is no longer a "new" book at my grandson's house. It has been read too many times to fall into that classification.

What a wonderful book! This is just the right amount of excitement (without being too scary) for the preschool/early elementary audience. The illustrations are fantastic, but it's the rhythm and the magic of Crow's writing that makes this book a must-have. So funny, and so much fun!

This book was smaller than I thought it would be, but it's a great book none-the-less.

Great story, my two grandsons, ages 4 & 6 love the "Rumble,Rumble, bim bam boom"

Book is super awesome. The kids and I love to read it together and find ourselves chanting it throughout the house. Very fun

I have a 18 month old daughter and we bought this book for her this month while at the Audubon Zoo Swamp fest. She couldn't wait for us to get home to read it to her.

It has now become a nightly ritual, with us reading it to her twice! It's even helped her be more cooperative in brushing her teeth (rumba rumba!).
As we live in Louisiana, adding the cajun accent isn't hard and the author has caught the cajun pattern of speech exactly.

I can't wait to get more books by Ms Crow as I am sure my daughter will enjoy them as much as she does this one!

From the first time I read this to our children, we were hooked! The rhythm and suspense had everyone listening with rapt attention--and that's not an easy feat with a 12yr old, 8yr old and 6yr old! They wanted to hear it over and over and were extremely sad when it was time to return it to the library. I am sure this will be one of their favorite Christmas presents this year! I would recommend this to anyone who loves to share an animated book with their little monsters. :)

My 5 year old and I love this book! It's got such a great rhythm and the story is very cute. We always put our holiday related books away to enjoy them as if they were new again the next year. While we've included this one in our Halloween stash, we couldn't part with it for a whole year! I highly reccommend this book!
