These are wonderful videos for babies ages 6 months or so, to about 2 or 3. Children I babysit for have them; and they are mesmorized by the soft, kind voice of the narrator, and the life-like pictures shown in the video. The neat thing about these videos is the simplicity of them, and the repetition that keeps the babies interested. They'll show, for example, "feet"---and slowly, but interestingly, show many different sizes and colors of feet, then, later in the video, you'll see the feet again. The narrator says the name of the object being shown, once when the object is first shown, then again, later on in the video. Kids don't even know they're learning! Excellent videos!

My children have speech delays. I was skeptical that my kids would watch these videos avidly as stated by other reviewers of the videos. But they did. They watch them over and over and over and my oldest changes between the 3 tapes we have (he's 4) and him and his younger brother and sister watch them while they are playing. I just wish there were more everyday words! I'd rather my kids could say "bath" rather than "helicopter," but these tapes are great...and they are helping.

- Initially I was unimpressed with this video. The quality is not that great.
- The video will show several examples of a word, for example, clock. The word is spoken and also shown (the word is displayed next to the object). Classical music (very nice!) plays in the background. Words taught in this video include but are not limited to the following: lion, feet, stroller, bowl, doll, balloon, truck, hat, hammer, bib, clock and bird.
- My 8-month-old son is mesmerized by it, so who cares what I think? HA!
- My rating is based on my son's opinion and the fact that I think it does serve it's purpose which is to teach my son words.
