You folks understand that this is NOT magic right? This app uploads your contact list to their server and adds all of your contacts to their database so that, when your mom calls someone, the receipient can get her info from the server because you uploaded it by using this app!

Information about you is a commodity other people trade in. In other words, there are companies that seek to capture information about you as basic as your real name, your real address, and your phone numbers because someone will buy information from them. The more information they have the greater the value, the higher the price the greater the profit. There are Fortune 500 companies, such as Axciom, whose business is the aggregation and trade of personal information, and you might be stunned to know how much they know about you, including for example, the names of your children, their occupations, their income, their banks, mortgaged and loans outstanding, creditors, credit scores, debt, job history, medical history, and on and on. All of your children's information can be gathered through the information they've acquired about you. And all of it is for sale.

BeenVerified, Inc., the developer of this app is in this business. You will have to give them basic information in order to use it, and their purpose with the app is to get you to pay for more information than the barest minimum they give away – just enough for you to know they have something they're hoping you'll give them you money for, and they are unconcerned about what you might want it for because the laws protect them from liability. The information you give to them they will match with their database, and it may only serve to confirm whether or not what they already have remains valid, or if there is a conflict it flags you for research. In either case, their is value.

For the most part, you've already lost control over your personal information.

For those of you who can read and have a most basic understanding of the English language, you just may want to read the permissions that you are allowing this app to take. Only then, if you agree to allow such unfettered access to your data and device settings, .......download away !!

I have been looking for an app like this! It does find about 85% of the numbers I'm looking for and about half are those are cell phone numbers. Don't know of any other app that does that. One thing I would like to see is a name look up, that way I could get rid of my other phone apps and (dare I dream) an auto caller id lookup for unknown callers when they call, not after. But all and all a great app! Keep up the good work!

I tried various phone numbers that came in and it only told the city and state (maybe they were cell phones). I then tried my cell phone number to test it, it only told city and state. I can kind of understand not giving names on cell phones, but the item description should say that it doesn't give the person's name on cell phones.

I tried various home phone numbers to test it and it does give the name and number, but the cities aren't always accurate. When I put my home phone number into it, it said I live in a different city than I do. I'm not real impressed with the accuracy of this item.

I guess if just knowing what city and state the call is from when it's a cell phone, and being pretty close to the correct city on a home phone, is all you need, then this is great. It is very simple to use and quick.

I like this app, I just wish so many numbers were unlisted. I get mostly cell phone numbers that I want to know who they are registered to. But for all land lines it does a great job.
