From the Back Cover

Struggle no more in your quest for great U.S. microbrewed beer! The Beer Across America guide is here.

Inspired by the beer-of-the-month club that bears its name, the Beer Across America guide directs you to more than 400 brewpubs and microbreweries nationwide. Covering the country in four geographical regions -- Pacific, Mountain/High Plains, Central and Atlantic -- the guide puts the names, addresses, phone numbers, and hours of operation and tours, where available, right at your fingertips. Fifty in-depth profiles introduce you to some of America's most successful -- and most unusual -- brewers, brewpubs, and microbreweries and highlights their styles, marketing techniques, logos, and more.

More About the Author

If you enjoy beer as much as I do, then you understand how it can become a passion. I first started learning about good beer back in the mid-1980's, about the same time the American microbrewing industry began picking up steam.

First, I started brewing my own beer, then I became a Certified Beer Judge, then I began writing about the craft. Twenty-five years and five books later, I am still an avid fan of the industry. I have visited over 250 breweries on two separate continents and I have had the pleasure of tasting and reviewing thousands of homebrews and commercial beers.

Along the way, I've had the pleasure of associating with some of the biggest names in the industry as well as evaluating beer at some of the most prestigious festivals and competitions in the U.S.

I look forward to continuing to write about this fun and dynamic industry for years to come. If you should happen to read my books, I hope you find my passion for the craft infectious.
