5.0 out of 5 stars Beer- a man flick for after a long day of work., September 7, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Beer (Amazon.com Exclusive) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I Saw this movie through a suggestion from my friend. Saw the fact that it was a old, never heard of flick but told it was funny. Finally, i decided to rent this movie, and found a movie funnier than the garbage they have been releasing into todays movie theatres. I found this movie to be a fresh view of how events can change your life for the better, and showed what REAL beer commercials should look like. Deffinately no Oscar contender, but a hilarious look in the world of beer and advertising. After watching this movie, it made me Wish their was a Norbecker beer, cuz im definitely 'Tough Enough' to ' Wipe Out My Norbecker'.

I enjoyed seeing David Allen Greer, and Rip torn especially inthis movie. The beer ads they create are funny enough to see the moviefor. I picked this one up 7 yrs ago out of the discount rack at avideo store and have since watched it more than some of the newreleases I own. fun and entertaining, but didn't win an oscar for areason.

A salty, sassy lampoon of the beer-ad biz and brew-guzzling guys, this funny flick is chockful of scenes of absolute hilarity--particularly in its depiction of commercials aimed at chauvinistic machos. Created before political correctness choked off some of humor's favorite fodder, the movie pokes gentle fun at various ethnicities and subcultures of the American scene. For fans made queasy by agenda-driven films full of sick sight gags and toilet humor, this is a quencher!
