Based in 19th century Vienna, Beethoven Lives Upstairs is a story of the idiosyncratic but creatively brilliant Beethoven who is struggling with his deafness as he composes his Ninth Symphony. Based on the "Classical Kids" audio recording, this engaging television special has been created as a home video drama, a wonderful family film that captures the spirit of the great composers and the sentiment and humor of this very special story. Closed captioned for the hearing impaired and with a running time of 52 minutes, Beethoven Lives Upstairs is also available as a Laser Disc (59-2 $35. 98). Beethoven Lives Upstairs is also available as a 48 page, beautifully illustrated picture book (0-531-06828-5 $15. 98). --
