Beetle Bailey of the sixties, quaint for modern children, generates nostalgia in older people,

This review is from: Beetle Bailey: Not Reverse (Mass Market Paperback)
Beetle Bailey is a cartoon figure that seems to transcend time, although there have been many changes in the strip over the years. This book is a compilation of segments that primarily feature Beetle and Saergent Snorkel. The humor is very much that of the mild strips of the sixties, although it avoids the regular feature where Beetle is pounded into a fuzzy pancake by Snorkel. Reading it brought back many memories of reading the Beetle Bailey strip when I was a child. Modern children will probably find it quaint and a bit silly, but it will generate a sense of nostalgia in older people.
