The older brother of a kid I knew had a Bug back in the 70s, and if there's one thing I distinctly remember is hearing that roar of his baby blue Beetle about 10 blocks away before ever seeing the thing. And then there was the kid in college who owned a yellow semi-automatic; I still get a kick over shifting without a clutch! It's a shame they never caught on.
Anyway, I get to relive those old relics while listening to this CD. Sadly, I never owned a Bug (came close with a Rabbit; well, actually not that close) but I've always been fascinated with them. And the new Beetles, while neat in their own way, just don't have that distinctive sound of their predecessors. That's why this CD is great!
This is a MUST BUY for anyone who ever owned, loved or coveted the old Beetle. Hell, it even sounds good listening to it in my (dare I say it) '93 Sable! And when your windows are down, and you're blasting that tin horn, it's great to try to match up your acceleration with the CD. And living in Massachusetts, at least I can pretend to feel the wind blowing and cruising down that California freeway while I'm stuck in Big Dig traffic for the next decade...

My husband drives his company car, a chev malibu, and listens to this CD. It is fun to listen to the old noise of a classic bug when stuck in traffic. Super fun.

I loved listening to it. I felt like I was in a bug driving down the highway listening to the sounds. Great CD!
