3.0 out of 5 stars Hot read!
This is surely a hot read, I enjoyed the characters. It's definitely a contemporary romance. I caught the references to pop cultures icons, like my girl Beyonce and her clothing line. I'm sure the young hot teachers that I know would appreciate that the world knows they can get down and loose on the weekend like the next chick. LOL (Get your drink and your two step on...

Before I Let Go

Diamere Redmond & Kellis Saunders have known each other for years but somewhere between their first kiss Diamere began to see Kellis not as his best friend little sister but as a woman.

Kelli has been in love with Diamere since forever and when she thought things may have change between them he leaves Kelli to married another woman and left town. When Diamere left Kelli was determine to put him out of her mine and heart.

Over the years Kelli was living her life as a teacher and was engaged to get married but when there was not an engagement anymore Kelli decided to return to her home town and take a teacher position there and to concentrate on continuing her college education. For Kelli nothing was more important and nothing was going to get in her way or so she thought.................

When Diamere left he left his heart with Kelli although she didn't know it at the time, but when Diamere left to married the other woman it was because it was the right thing to do at the time. Diamere sees Kelli as the one that got away so when he return back home and saw Kelli sitting in his nightclub he knew that he would do whatever it took to get her back and knew that he would have to earn her trust again.

So can two people who has been apart for some years come to love each other again, well that a question that only the story can answer and you have to read the book to find out if they will find they way back to each other. You will also get caught on Mark & Essence you remember from "Time of Essence". Kellie is Mark sister.

Smooches
Louise

5.0 out of 5 stars Friends & lovers, June 8, 2010
This review is from: Before I Let You Go (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a story of two friends Kellis & Diamere. Kellis loves Diamere but he hesitates because she's his best friend's sister. However Diamere can't resist the beautiful woman she's grown up to be and soon Kellis & Diamere have a very grown up relationship with great lovin' and good ole drama thrown in for measure. This is a great book and Angie Daniels has never disappointed me - that's why I buy all her books. Thanks Angie!!

3.0 out of 5 stars I Love You, I Love You, I Love You......Really??, April 5, 2010
Diamere & Kelly's story was an ok read, they were attracted to each other, they acted it on it and neither wanted anything permanent or so they thought. Here is the problem that I had with this book, Diamere admitted that Kelly changed his way of thinking and wanted to forge a relationship and actually put his feelings out there. Kelly who was in love with Diamere since she was 13 didn't want to try because she was afraid of getting her heart broke because he didn't love her. Come on, doesn't love start as friendship, then to dating, committment and then love? She wanted the happy ending without putting in the work. It was a little tiresome.

Ravished by Desire: A Little Dare\Thorn's Challenge (Arabesque)
Let me start by saying that I usually enjoy reading Ms. Daniels books. I was actually enjoying this one until I realized I was reading a scene that had been written almost verbatim from Thorn's Challenge(2003)by Brenda Jackson. The entire incident between Thorn and Tara outside of the restroom at Dare's wedding was repeated in Ms. Daniels book from the bottom of page 42 through page 44. The lead female character is also a virgin who was jilted/cheated on by an ex-fiance, Derrick in Tara's case and Devin in Kellis'. Even the title was taken from Thorn's inability to let Tara go when he kept her from falling outside of the restroom. I've just scanned further through the book and am almost certain that a scene from another Westmoreland book is on page 141 and 142. I feel sorry for Ms. Daniels if this was added by an editor of Kimani Press(published both books), since it has the potential to ruin her reputation.
