I had to read this novel three times simply because every time I reached the end, I thought like missing it. Nichola and planet put in some effort to write a novel that provided me with enjoyment for all the three times I have read it. The story is well crafted. I can say this is one of those novels that I have read which blend Romance, suspense and mystery all together. I loved it.

Be sure to keep reading past the errs and typos, you will be glad you did. This time, the content is worth the effort. Hopefully, in his next book, he will have an editor for whom English is their first language.

The mysterious standstill between life and death and the enigma of the journey lying ahead has formed the theme of many creative works. Expanding upon this venerable theme, authors Lubowa M Planet and Nichola Moffat in their debut novel "The Days Before: A Novel of Fantasy and Mystery" have lent an air of suspense to the whole concept, such that when their protagonist is forced to make a singular decision, it sets the entire course of her life. "The Days Before," as the title itself proclaims is indeed a novel of fantasy and mystery.

Revolving around a trio of characters, the novel manages to incorporate all the classic elements of fantasy, mystery, drama and romance, blending together to give us a thrilling novel spun around the life of the protagonist Emylya. A life threatening accident sets Emylya into the path of Ollie Connor, an Angel of Death, who makes a proposition that could give her back her life for an entirety of thirty days. But the acceptance of this offer might very well be the chance to miss out on an opportunity of endless joy. The drama takes on a different level with the arrival of Sam Fisher who enters Emylya's life in a whirlwind of colour, changing her life forever.

Evenly paced, engaging, and with a good premise, the novel takes its readers through an entertaining ride. Underneath the whole paranormal suspense is the very simple and well received message about how a single moment in time can determine the entire course of a person's life. A work of truly great imagination, the only thing amiss with this great reading package is the little errors of spelling or word usage. A good editor can turn this book into a gem of a novel.
