About the Author
Sonja Linden is an award winning playwright, whose plays have been produced in the UK, the United States and Australia. London productions include Call Me Judas (Paines Plough, Finborough Theatre), The Jewish Daughter (New End Theatre) and The Strange Passenger (Paines Plough, Battersea Arts Centre and National Tour). I Have Before Me a Remarkable Document Given to Me by a Young Lady from Rwanda was written in response to her encounters with a number of young Rwandan refugees at the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture, where she has been writer in residence since 1997. The play will receive its American premiere in Kansas City Rep. Theatre in April 2005. Sonja is currently working on a commission from APT Films and BBC Films to co-write a feature film about a young Iranian asylum seeker.
