This is a fantastic movie, Ellen Barkin plays an abused mother who has to learn to deal with her demons (alcohol/loneliness) and as she is doing it it interferes with her ability to always have a loving relationship with her daughters. This movie makes you think about the choices that mothers in the 50's and before had compared to now. It's a beautiful story that is translated very well into this movie.

I remember watching this movie as a young adult and have always wanted to get it on DVD. I love sad movies and Before Women Had Wings is definitely one of those. Like most independent movies the acting is a few notches above most Hollywood types. I highly recommend this movie.

The DVD was broken and did not play and I had no way to contact the seller. I played for the first 15 or 20 minutes then stopped after that
