many of us are not as good as we can be because we make poor decisions. this book must be studied and absorbed so that you are equipped in the time of decision so that you can make the right choice that will yield you the right reward: not a simply a good one.

This book is a must read it tells you how to prevent yourself from getting into things that may hurt you in the long run,also how to make life a lot easier by putting down some unwanted baggages.It also tells of letting go and stop blaming others.You will not regret this buy.

It covers all the major decisions one needs to take in life, and arms you with the necessary steps to avoid regrets. Topics that are covered include marriage, divorce, taking risks, choosing your inner circle and avoid settling for less in your personal and business life- all read by TD Jakes... Highly recommended!

I brought this book after reading Reposition Yourself: Living Life Without Limits, which I really enjoyed. This book was good, but I think that Reposition Yourself was better. I found that Before You Do had a lot of material on love, marriage, and divorce. I found myself skimming/skipping over chapters because they really didn't pertain to me. It's a great book if you have issues with relationships and have some doubts. The one chapter Before You Get Engaged had good questions that I think can be asked whenever someone enters a relationship with a partner--not just when engagement comes up. I also like that fact that it talks about the stages that you should go thru before you make the decision and having a vision.

I loved the book so much I'll be purchasing more copies to give as gift w/bottle of wine, warm blanket. This book is an easy read. Well written!

This was a great buy. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone that's not only thinking of getting married, but those that are already married.

Very enlightening as a book of sermons. Spoke on areas of interest that need to be addressed in some of life's most challenging decisions. Would have purchased sooner if only I had realized how powerful it really is...

i must say if u dont have this book then its a must have it item i have read it and truthfully it has helped me a whole lot. being single no kids at 28 i needed this. it GREAT from beginning to end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an excellent book. I am not married yet, but this book has really helped me to know that I am on the right track. My fiancee` and I are supposed to be together. We compliment each other in every way. Where he is weak I am strong and vice versa. I am so happy that Bishop Jakes took time out of his schedule to write this much needed book. I borrowed it from the library and I know that I will purchase my own copy of this wonderful book. If you really want to know what you should look out for as warning signs in any relationship then read this book. I know someone that was very desperate with one of her last realtionships that didn't work out. This person wasted at least 11 years of their lives on a person who was NOT into her as she thought. This book highlights that subject as well as other much needed subjects.

This is a must read.

I loved the way the book is written. In every chapter, I found myself re-thinking decisions and ideas I'd come up with. In addition, it was an eye opener to points to consider and positions one needs to take before making a decision.

On another note - for me it was a reminder, to pause a little longer before making that decision I needed to and to make sure that I have all the necessary information to make an informed decision.
