My wife bought this book for our daughter. It appears to be written for girls that are home-schooled as some of the advice is unrealistic in a public school setting (e.g. make very little contact with boys and only say a few words when you do). My daughter has had multiple group projects that have involved one or more boys and involved them coming over to our house to work on said projects. She liked the other book she bought, "It's Not That Complicated: How to Relate to Guys in a Healthy, Sane and Biblical Way", much better.

I recently purchased this book and have enjoyed everything about it. I often find myself talking and thinking of things that I shouldn't, but often not knowing how to capture and stop those bad habits. Sarah Mally gives reason, examples, and Scripture of keeping yourself mentally and physical pure for the "Perfect ONE" God has for you. This book has helped to change my understanding of why it is so importantto choose God before anything and fill my whole heart with Him only. If you are a young girl struggling with feelings and thoughts you should purchase this book. PLEASE READ THIS BOOK!!!

The idea in this book is not for everyone, but then, neither is serial dating. Why not let your daughter read this book and decide for herself if she wants to follow the dating pattern the rest of the world has to offer, or if she wants to make a different choice?

This book is great for younger girls. I think 10 is the perfect age to start thinking about how you want to approach finding a mate someday, BEFORE a girl has had a chance to make a mistake of the heart that she cannot take back. Unlike most Christian books designed to warn girls of the costs of emotional promiscuity, this book contains NO graphic, lurid stories that are inappropriate for younger girls.

If you are interested in a sample overview of the story within the book, you can check out my daughter's competitive speech based on this book. It's available on YouTube under the same title.

What I like about this book is that my pre-teen daughter can read this book without being defiled with information or examples that are not appropriate for her age or experience. I actually benefited from some of the advice because the principles are applicable all, e.g. trust, patience, etc. It is also great for opening communication with your daughter even if you don't come from the same background as the author.

Get it before your daughter is in trouble. I read a friend's copy and am ordering it for my daughter right away. [Update: Both of my daughters appreciated the book.]

Possible objections to the book? If you do not want a somewhat conservative Christian perspective, you might not like this book. If you don't like "swarmy" stories, you might not appreciate the fairy tale part of this book. This book is also probably not for you if you don't want your daughter thinking about the possibility of marriage in the future (but then you probably wouldn't be considering this book anyway).

I read this book aloud to my 13 year old daughter so we could discuss it as we went along. It's a very sweet presentation of an immensely important subject. The language of the medieval stories is a bit corny at points, but the message is excellent. It is very good for young girls coming of age to have something that sets such high standards because the world we live in does not. I want my daughter to embrace and hold onto the knowledge that she is first and foremost the daughter of the King and to treasure the gift she is and will be in the future whether she is called to marriage, the single life or a religious vocation.

The most important message of this book to a young woman before marriage is that she is not waiting to get married, that marriage is not the ultimate goal in life, but that she needs to be the best God made her to be now. This is not a "how-to-catch-your-man" manual, and bravo for that!

I was so grateful for this book. Both my 15 yo and I read it together and discussed each chapter. We have even referred back to it from time to time to discuss situations she runs into currently to see how they should be handled or to refresh her determination to do it God's way. A standing ovation. Supreme! Sarah, let's have another!

This book has been extremely helpful to my sisters and I! I was quite thrilled to inherit my older sister's copy after she got married. Filled with Biblical and practical advice, this book is such a blessing! It is the only book we've found like this: appropriate for all ages and totally Biblical.

The book is the perfect read for every young girl or woman! It contains a large number of values and messages that are often ignored in today's society. Whether you call yourself conservative or liberal in relationship values, you or your daughter will Definetely learn how to be a strong moral woman from reading this book.
