Beauty and common-sense,

I got the book for the pictures mostly, a few months before i actually got my kitten. I read it several times then, for the writing style is entertaining and compassionate. And now I turn to it for all the good advice -- beside being a cudly book, it's quite down to earth in the advice it dispenses. For its format, it packs a lot of information, is well organized and a pleasure to read. Somehow it manages to pack a similar amount of information as the much larger and pictureless "Cats for Dummies". I would have liked more info on home health care and first aid. It's where all cat books seem to simply refer people to their vets. I'd like to be able to dwelve more into the subject. Appart from it, I'm quite fond of this little gem of a kitty book. It's a lot wider in coverage than what the title suggests.
