This review is from: Before You See Your First Client: 55 Things Counselors, Therapists and Human Service Workers Need to Know (Paperback)
Having a fledgling private practice I was interested to get this book. It is informative, however it does have a bit of a negative tone. That is, don't do this, don't do that, don't expect this, when you do this don't expect that to happen.
Again, I'm glad I read it and will reference it again, it just felt like it could had some more positives in it. A book I highly recommend for clinicians is The Gift of Therapy: An Open Letter to a New Generation of Therapists and Their Patients by Yalom |
