4.0 out of 5 stars Nostalgia. September 24, 2007
Format:Audio CD
I remeber hearing Hutch when I was a child in the 1940s, then I thought it boring and beyond my understanding - my mother loved his work and often sang his songs, which remained with me. I was interested to see that his work is still available and bought the CD.
Now I understand his words and appreciate his style, his voice and the sophistication of his time. The sadness of loves lost, seems deepened by his apparent acceptance of the inevitability of this.
Beautful voice, classy pianist - I'm so glad to own this.
Jim.
