5.0 out of 5 stars Great starter guitar!
A great starter guitar if you're just learning (like I am). The best part is the extra set of strings, pick and gig bag to stow it when not in use -- all included. At this price its a steal :-)

3.0 out of 5 stars You Get What You Pay For
I bought this guitar because it was cheap, 38" (I thought that it was full size), and because I am just starting to learn.

I'm not really sure why the previous reviewer felt so happy with this guitar, but I am telling you, even at $45, this guitar is not worth the money. First off, the fretboard is plastic. I guess this doesn't really matter, but the feel and...

I guess this doesn't really matter, but the feel and looks of it are unsatisfactory. Secondly, the tuners are plastic, and I was extremely lucky if the guitar stayed in tune for more than 3 hours...without me playing it! Thirdly, the strings are off the fretboard by at Least 3/4 of a cm past the 10th fret. This is highly uncomfortable and forces you to apply much pressure to avoid the buzzing. Lastly, though this CLASSICAL guitar comes with a thin nylon bag, flimsy strap, pick, and an extra set of strings, it is still not worth $45+.

I have returned this guitar and have spent the extra $15 to buy the "Rogue RA-100D Dreadnought Guitar, Natural" and I am Happy to say that I am totally satisfied with my purchase. You can see my review there.

Unless you are a talented and experienced guitarist who can manage the extremely difficult challenges in playing this "toyish" guitar, I do not recommend it, especially for beginners.

2.0 out of 5 stars Low price = Definitely low quality in this case., October 25, 2010

This is a toy. Wouldn't ever want someone to learn on this guitar. Their first impressions most certainly would last. It was sent it back.

Pros:
-Price. You will get what you pay for.

Cons:
-Poorly made. Wood chips were all over the inside of it when received. The frets were plastic and were not glued on properly.
-The wood look appeared to be sticker-like.
-Sound quality hardly made it a guitar.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a good beginner guitar, January 10, 2007

Got this for a 10 year old to begin playing guitar. The accessories included are a good bonus. This guitar looks nice, but is hard to play. The overall size is good, but the neck is wide and the stings are set too far out. It is difficult to get your fingers all the way around and then to push so hard on the strings to produce the notes. Your fingers get sore quickly and it is frustrating to the beginner. If you can learn to play on this guitar, you can play anything!

On December 16 I got a 38" Coffe Guitar and was cool. While I was learning to play a string snaped and I replaced it like that.

Soon I learned to play almost like a pro. I also bought Dunlop gel picks that came twelve a pack . I bought guitar straps and all kinds of of accessories that made this guitar rock
