Great hands-on learning course.
Excellent presentation of the subject. I enjoyed learning from the example programs he used. I have taught myself other languages and this has been the best experience, enjoyable. Not boring. On the constructive criticism side, there were a quite a few programming errors and misprints? throughout the book. It appeared to be written in 2005, would have been...

Dated but helpful
With the release of Gambas 2 a lot of the book becomes obsolete, but you don't have many other choices. It can still be helpful in an arena where documentation is at a premium.

Excellent presentation of the subject. I enjoyed learning from the example programs he used. I have taught myself other languages and this has been the best experience, enjoyable. Not boring.
On the constructive criticism side, there were a quite a few programming errors and misprints? throughout the book. It appeared to be written in 2005, would have been nice to have a correction sheet. Although it gave me the opportunity to DEBUG some of the examples and increase my knowledge of debugging. Who knows?
