5.0 out of 5 stars A superb overview to starting out in large-scale trains., November 3, 2000

This review is from: Beginner's Guide to Large Scale Model Railroading (Model Railroader) (Paperback)
This book is the best guide to start out with if you are looking to start out in large-scale model trains. The author tells you what to expect when you start out on an adventure such as planning and executing such a large task as this. His background alone is enough to speak for itself, being the founder and editor of Garden Railways magazine. You can't find a better book to start than this.

I bought this to help me set up a garden railroad. This is a good guide for beginners. It gave me plenty of ideas. Very useful tips on set up and construction as well as long term maintenance. A great book for begineers.
