I Came across this book at the library and decided it was time to get my own copy. It focuses on information for the beginner as well as teaching techniques for instructors. It goes very in depth as to what makes a good trainer plane, equipment, and flying practices. This book stresses on-the-ground and in-the-air safety. There are many great pictures and diagrams and the explanations are very clear.

This book is published in 1992. I often buy old books for the value a used book offers. This was no exception. The principles of learning to fly RC have not changed so most of the information taught in the book are still applicable. Some things however have changed. radios are the bigest difference. now it has become common to use 2.4 Gighz radios that automatically select the one of 1.3 million possible channels, so selecting an available channel and sharing are no longer applicable. The book was excellent for the $4 I spent on it.

I am still learing and in addition to this book, I am using a computer RC simulator, and receiving instruction at a local model flying club.
