I bought this booklet when I first started knitting and even now still refer back to it. It's a handy little reference with an assortment of stitch patterns that are clearly written, even for a novice. Because I liked this one so much that when I began crocheting I bought their crochet book, too. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to move beyond basic garter and stockinette. It's not the most comprehensive stitch glossary out there, but it gives a good variety.

This book really will make it possible for you to design your own items, even if you're a beginning knitter! Everything you need to know about how to read patterns, perform the stitch techniques, and how to plan your own variations is described very simply in this little book. I was surprised to find that mittens could be so easy! Well worth the few dollars; I highly recommend this book!
