A Good Read!,
This review is from: Beginner's Guide to the World Economy: 71 Basic Economic Concepts That Will Change the Way You See the World (Paperback)
Randy Charles Epping has written an easy, informative overview of the world economy that roams from central banks to black markets to derivatives. His premise: Most people don't get much out of their studies of basic economics because the material is presented an abstract, obscure and confusing manner. His goal: Bring the real world into the study of economics. He addresses 77 basic economic concepts using neat, short textbook definitions. Don't look here for insights into current debates about globalization, for they are not addressed. But advanced readers might still find some value in this book as a quick resource in which to find quick answers to simple questions about economic systems and structures. Otherwise, we [...] recommend this book as the perfect gift for any youngster bored with Macro and Micro 101.
